Latex paint dries faster than oil and leaves a thicker,somewhat  more flexible film. It can be rolled on or applied  with a nylon bristle brush ,and cleans up easily  with water ? Oil base paint flows more easily from the brush (natural bristle) , dries  more slowly ,and cleans up with mineral spirit . Be cause it tends to leave a thinner film ,it won't hide the fine ,crisp details of moldings. It can also be good choice for bathroom and kitchen because its stain resistant .
